Zealios V2 is the switch that taught the hobby what a tactile could be. Where MX-style tactiles offered a mild mid-travel speed bump, the V2's redesigned stem places a large, sharp bump at the very top of the stroke. Press and you meet the wall immediately, roll over it, and glide to a rounded clack at the bottom. An entire generation of "big tactile" switches traces its lineage here.
Zeal sells them in 62g, 65g, 67g, and 78g spring weights. Crucially, those numbers are bottom-out forces, not actuation (the classic Zeal dataset gotcha; actuation runs roughly 55-65g depending on spring). The 67g weight is the community's default recommendation.
Manufactured by Gateron to boutique tolerances with transparent housings and 5-pin mounts, they command over a dollar per switch. Whether they still justify that against modern budget tactiles is a favorite forum argument; their historical importance is not.
