Sound & feel

Cream Yellow is a silent tactile, and its molds are close relatives of Gazzew's Boba U4: rubber dampeners sit on the stem rails and absorb both the bottom-out and the return. Sellers list it at 45g to actuate and 60g at the bottom, over a shortened 3.3mm stroke with a 2.0mm actuation point. Take the 60g as a listing figure rather than a rating: Outemu prints a tactile force in that slot for its other tactiles, and the same 60 turns up under both labels depending on the store.

Housings are nylon top and bottom with a POM stem, factory lubed, on a 5-pin base for PCB mounting. Nylon and the dampeners together give it a low, dry voice with very little of the noise a normal tactile makes, while the bump stays legible enough to type by.

Treat it as a U4 alternative at Outemu money rather than an exact clone: the housing plastic is different and the bump is a touch rounder. It is worth trying against Outemu's own Silent Lime, which does the same job on a much lighter spring.
