Shrimp is Durock's silenced take on the T1 platform. The large tactile bump survives intact while a silicone ring on the stem absorbs the bottom-out and upstroke noise that normally makes big tactiles among the loudest non-clicky switches. What remains is a muted thud with real feedback under the fingers. Because the silencing sits on the stem rather than in travel-shortening pads, the Shrimp keeps the full 4mm of travel that Durock's silent linears give up. Vendors list it at 52g actuation, a shade under the 55g most T1 listings quote, though both switches are rated by the same 67g bottom-out.
It competes directly with the Boba U4 and TTC Silent Bluish White in the silent-tactile arena. The U4 still edges it on refinement for most reviewers, but the Shrimp's T1-style bump shape has its own devotees, and availability through Durock's usual vendors is a plus.
