Outemu Blue
ClickyTHE cheap gamer clicky, loud, harsh, and everywhere. If a budget keyboard advertises "clicky blue switches," odds are high these are inside.
Sound & feel
Outemu Blue is arguably the most-heard clicky switch on earth, purely by volume of budget boards shipped with it. It uses the classic click-jacket mechanism: a loose collar on the stem releases at actuation and slaps the housing, producing a loud, high-pitched, slightly rattly click that is not tightly coupled to the tactile bump.
Weight is worth a footnote. Outemu's own table rates the Blue at 60 gf operating with a 65 gf end force, while a lot of retailer listings and independent measurements land nearer 50 g. Some of that gap is a labeling problem: on clicky switches a datasheet's operating force is often the peak at the click rather than the force at electrical actuation. We publish Outemu's rated 60 gf, but expect a sample in hand to feel lighter than that.
Enthusiasts tend to graduate toward click-bar switches like Kailh BOX White or Jade, which sound crisper and click on both strokes. But there is real nostalgia value here. For many people this exact sound was their introduction to mechanical keyboards, and in our simulator it remains the definitive "loud gamer keyboard" preset.
Sound on this page is synthesized from the switch's published specs and community-documented character: an honest simulation, not a recording. We're progressively replacing simulations with our own studio recordings. How our sounds are made

Frequently asked questions
What does the Outemu Blue sound like?
harsh, loud, rattly click-jacket snap. Use the player on this page to hear simulated press and release sounds derived from its real specifications.
Is the Outemu Blue good for gaming or typing?
Clicky switches like this are typing-first: the click is satisfying but loud for shared spaces and voice chat. For quiet environments, look at silent tactiles instead.
How heavy is the Outemu Blue?
60g actuation, 65g bottom-out. Note that Outemu officially rates actuation force. Brands differ, so check the basis when comparing switches.
