TactileTopre's featherweight domes, used in Realforce variable-weight boards where pinky columns get 30g while stronger fingers get more. Barely-there resistance with a softened version of the signature thock.
Sound & feel
The 30g and 35g domes are Topre's lightest weights, most famous as part of Realforce's variable weighting: the columns under your weakest fingers get the lightest domes, so effort feels uniform across the board. Uniform light-weight boards exist too, with a following among typists prone to finger fatigue.
The dome collapse is still present but gentle (a whisper of the 45g bump), and the sound is a softer, quieter take on the Topre thock. Accidental presses are the trade-off; resting fingers must learn to hover.
These weights showcase what electrocapacitive sensing enables: because actuation is contactless, Topre can tune feel purely through dome rubber, something MX-style springs-and-leaves cannot replicate as cleanly.
