NiZ builds electrocapacitive boards on the same principle as Topre (dome, conical spring, capacitive sensing) at roughly half the price. Offered mainly in 35g and 45g weights, the domes read lighter and softer than their Topre equivalents, with a gentler version of the characteristic collapse.
The headline practical advantage is the slider: NiZ uses MX-compatible stems, so the entire world of MX keycap sets fits, sidestepping Topre's perennial keycap scarcity. Sound lands in "thock-lite" territory, pleasant and dome-like, without the full depth of a Realforce.
