Speed Copper solves an interesting problem: speed switches actuate so early that a conventional mid-travel bump would arrive after the keystroke already registered. Kailh's answer places the bump immediately at the top, so the tactile event and the 1.1 mm actuation happen nearly together. Kailh rates it at 40 gf to operate with a 50 gf peak through the bump, and publishes no bottom-out force, so that row stays blank.

The bump is a light one, closer to a nudge than a wall, and the shortened 3.5 mm travel keeps everything tight and bright-sounding. Among speed switches it is still the rare option genuinely usable for prose, because even that small bump helps you feel the sensitive actuation point.

It stays niche (most tactile fans prefer full travel), but for fast typists curious about speed switches, Copper is the most forgiving door in.
