Gateron Green
ClickyGateron's heavy clicky: the Blue mechanism on an 80 g spring. Louder, deeper, and more deliberate: a budget path to the heavyweight clicky experience.
Sound & feel
Gateron Green pairs the click-jacket mechanism with an 80 g spring, mirroring the Cherry Blue-to-Green relationship at a lower price. The added weight slows the stroke down, deepens the click slightly, and eliminates any chance of accidental presses.
For typists who like their clicky switches to feel like a decision, Greens supply real resistance, though a full day of them is a workout. The heavy spring also tames some of the jacket flutter lighter clickies exhibit.
It remains a niche pick next to the mainstream Blue, mostly chosen by heavy typists and by builders wanting stiffer spacebars on clicky boards.
One note on the rating. Gateron publishes 80 gf as the operating force, but force curve measurements read that 80 g at bottom-out with actuation nearer 65 g, so treat 80 g as a manufacturer rating rather than a measured actuation force. Nobody publishes a bottom-out figure for this switch.

louder, deeper click backed by a heavy spring. Use the player on this page to hear simulated press and release sounds derived from its real specifications.
Is the Gateron Green good for gaming or typing?
Clicky switches like this are typing-first: the click is satisfying but loud for shared spaces and voice chat. For quiet environments, look at silent tactiles instead.
How heavy is the Gateron Green?
80g actuation. Note that Gateron officially rates actuation force. Brands differ, so check the basis when comparing switches.
