The Durock POM Linear chases the deep, rounded knock the NK Cream made famous, though the construction is not all POM the way the Cream's is. Durock pairs POM top and bottom housings with a UHMWPE-blend stem on an extended pole, and since the stem is the part that strikes the housing, that blend matters as much as the POM does. The extended pole also shortens total travel to 3.7mm, so the stroke ends a little earlier and more definitely than a standard linear.

Stock feel is the wrinkle. Durock lists the switch as factory pre-lubed and most vendors repeat that, but a few describe it as unlubed, so expect some batch variation. POM is notoriously hard to mold perfectly smooth in any case, and this one improves markedly with lube or simple break-in. At a 63.5g bottom-out it types slightly firmer than an Alpaca. For sound-chasers who love the POM timbre but want a JWK-tooled alternative to Kailh's take, this is the natural cross-shop.
