Daybreak represents the second generation of JWK silencing: dampening pads tuned to soften both strokes while keeping the landing more defined than earlier silent designs. Many reviewers rank it above the Silent Alpaca on pure refinement, even if the Alpaca name keeps the fame.

At 67g bottom-out with actuation around 52g it types a touch firmer than the 62g Silent Alpaca, and JWK's usual light factory lube means it needs nothing out of the bag. If you are choosing between JWK silents, pick by weight first: Daybreak for the firmer landing and the more refined dampening, Silent Alpaca for the lighter stroke and the better-known name.
