Ink Yellow V2 is the Ink line's short-travel entry. Gateron rates it 60±15 gf, identical to Ink Black, and separates the two purely on distance: 1.2 mm to actuation and 3.4 mm of total travel, against Ink Black's 2.0 mm and 4.0 mm. If what you want is a lighter Ink rather than a shorter one, that is Ink Red V2 at 45 g.
The translucent housing blend is unchanged, so the acoustic signature carries straight over: deep in the body, crisp at the attack. Compressing the stroke pulls the bottom-out closer to the press, which gives the switch a tighter, faster rhythm than a full-travel Ink without touching the voice.
That makes it a gaming and fast-typing pick inside the Ink family. Mixing it with full-travel Inks on the same board is awkward, since the actuation points no longer line up under your fingers, so most people run it as a full set. Gateron publishes no bottom-out figure; retailers and ThereminGoat both put it near 67 g.
