SKCM White is the most common clicky Alps switch, produced for years across countless OEM boards. It shares the Blue's leaf-based click mechanism but lands slightly softer and brighter, and later production runs simplified the internals.
Because so many were made, Whites are the practical entry into vintage Alps: donor boards are findable, and a cleaned set can still be built into a modern Alps-mount custom. The click remains a class apart from MX click jackets: tighter, with feedback and sound arriving together.
If the Blue is the grail, the White is the workhorse that defined what a generation of typists thought a keyboard should sound like.
