CS Silver is the CS line's answer to Cherry's Speed Silver: actuation pulled up to just 1.0mm with a light 43g spring, shaving reaction time for twitchy shooters. Total travel shortens to 3.0mm, the shortest stroke in the CS line, so the whole press feels clipped and immediate.
Speed switches are polarizing for typing: the same hair trigger that helps in games invites typos in prose. As a cheap way to test whether short-travel linears suit your play style, though, CS Silver is exactly the low-commitment entry point it should be.
